| Melee tactics are a major necessity during Z-Day. They are great for staying quiet but are best used for smaller mobs and or single target zombies. | |

| I would go with something like a sword or a baseball bat with nails, those would do a lot of damage to the rotting flesh, but you have to move fast so they don’t get you. You can take on large crowds of zombies with melee, but you have to have protection for the tender spots on your body where the zombies typically try and go for. Also I say zombie land has it right that cardio is key for survival. | |

Indeed. but there comes a point where projectile weapons will play a major part in survival as well.

| Not saying that projectile weapons don’t play a part in survival. They can be very useful but if trying to conserve ammo, melee is great for that. Besides shotguns are a great zombie repellant. | |

| definitely agreed! but yes melee is a very important must, and the fact that it helps maintain stealth. doesn't attract other zombies when gathering needed supplies, and also helps remained unnoticed by negative survivors that aren't as helpful/friendly as we may be

| Halberd.
You've got distance, blunt force, and the ability to chop heads.

| when it comes to melee for Z day my personal favorite is the good old crowbar.
Super reliable, can smash zombie skulls with ease, it's damn near indestructible, plus it has non combative uses as well.
Good luck prying open a manhole cover with a halberd....
